Chandor Gardens tour with the Garden Gate Club

We got invited by our dear Carol Ann to attend a garden tour last Wednesday. We had a fabulous time! Here are a few of the highlights and a link to my album. I still have about 100 photos to sort through and add.

Isn't Carolann fun Pam? I loved the gardens and the tour guide was a riot! It was good to see you. I hope we can all get together again before it gets cold.

Allen Garden Club Spring Garden Tour - May 19

Come on out and see some beautiful private gardens on this spring tour. Our tour books will go on sale 2-3 weeks prior to the event at Puckett's Nursery in Allen and Wells Bros. Farm Store in Plano for a $10 donation. Allen Garden Club members will be at each garden to answer questions and tell you about the plants. We are raising funds to install a children's alphabet garden utilizing native and adapted plants. It will be installed in a local city park and Native Dave is donating the design for this garden. It will be used as a demonstration garden where the city can teach the citizens about gardening techniques and the plants and a place where families can bring a picnic and explore the garden. We are working with the City of Allen Parks & Recreation to make this garden a place where people can connect with nature. For more information, visit www.allengardenclub.org.

It was a great way to spend an afternoon! House #1 yard was very cozy and chock full of really neat things. So many people were there it was hard to take it all in. I loved house #2. Thank you for posting pictures of your tour! The gardens are lovely and the pictures are great. It is so much fun going with a group. Will you ID the people in the group photo?

I especially enjoyed seeing all the succulents and the fountains, especially the fountain made from repurposed metal pieces.

I'd like for the San Antonio folks to go together to visit the Japanese Tea Garden. How about it S. A. peeps?

Those are great pictures Carol!

Ragna, I am ashamed to say that I only know my hubby, PJ and her son (Ethan, I believe) and Carolann! The members of the Garden Gate Club were so much fun and I did remember their names that day, I swear! It's embarrassing to forget names.
