I think most are self pollinating, but not all. Also, I think some will produce bigger fruit if cross pollinated. Mine have done great without crossing.

Yes, depends on cultivars. Most that are described as red or white are Hylocereus undatus species or various crosses of them. Most red flesh producing cultivars usually need cross pollination but there are some that are self fertile. The yellow variety mention is usually the Selenicereus megalanthus with yellow skin fruits, although there is a yellow skin H. undatus. I got a red dragon fruit and planted 50+ seeds and they all germinated, will they be true to the type? I live in South California and was wondering if i need another variety. Does anyone have dragonfruit cuttings of red flesh, i would trade or buy from you.
