The EarthTainer 'Farm' Photo Update - April 28

We've had unusually cool and wet weather here since I've planted out 5 weeks ago, but the plants are coming through anyway. For reference, here are a pair of Paul Robesons 20 days ago (April 8):

Here they are on April 28 (16 inches growth in 20 days):

JD Special C-Tex on the left, and Japanese Black Trifele on the right:

From left to right: Dona, Brandywine Sudduth, Paul Robeson, Druzba, and Purple Haze F-5:

As a trial I am growing a companion Goose Creek in a traditional pot alongside the Goose Creeks in the EarthTainer as a comparison this Season:

The CornTainers are doing well in spite of the cool weather. For reference, here is one on April 8:

And now 20 days later:

I have staged plantings every two weeks to get a continuous supply this Season:

I am trying an "experiment" this year instead of yanking last Season's Pepper plants, I've simply cut them back to short stalks. They seem to be recovering well with robust new leaf development:

I have a batch of NuMex Heritage 6-4 Peppers growing (should have started them a month earlier in hindsight):

So, off to a promising start and it isn't even May in Northern California.
