While the pics don't show the funnel perfectly, it goes several hundred feet up. It makes it about halfway to a cloud that was on the leading edge of a cold front/cloud bank that was moving in from the northwest.

This pics are looking south, and, as you can see, the funnel was really "out of the blue".

It was pretty sizable on the ground, briefly. Of course, it was weak, and so fell apart by the time we drove about a mile and a half to where it was.
