keeping marang, pedalai, durian small

Hi. Already posted this question on the main forum but was unaware this one existed so apologies if you have already seen this.
Live in Cairns, Northern Australia which is tropical and also experiences cyclones.
Because of this and the size of my garden I'm keen on keeping the height of these trees low (3-4m).
My question was what experience people have had with pruning these species - I have seen Jackfruits and mangos kept at that height here.
One of the responses mentioned a trying to trellise them. Anyone any experience or thoughts on this - particularly in regards to the durian as some terraced areas behind the house which would be nice and protected if I kept them at 2m
regards
Jim
