I'm not from Buffalo, so I don't know about societies or gardening groups. You might want to contact Stokes Seeds in Buffalo and ask them. I'm sure they are familiar with different gardening groups in the area.

I know of no society or club for carnivorous plants in the area.

There are also helpful folks at local nurseries, esp. places like Lockwood's in the southtowns or Menne up in the northtowns.

You can also ask at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens. They have some wonderful people who work there. Sally Cunningham, who used to be with the Cornell Cooperative Extension when it was funded, I believe now works at Lockwood's and runs a local gardening column in the paper.

Depending where you are in WNY, you could be in any of several different zones, and different soils lend themselves to different plants as well.

There are also several people on this forum in the general Buffalo area that are always more than happy to help.

why are you leaving us??? Don't you enjoy our weather??? I have the sunroom and front room windows opened today enjoying the beautiful temperatures and SWNY still has snow on the ground... We have beautiful forsythia, flowers, and strawberries blooming and they have, hmmm, slush in the floorboards...
