Rare exotic tropical seed sources

Can anyone suggest fresh exotic and/or tropical seed sources? Have been ordering from e-bay and receiving alot of old seed. Any suggestions will be much apprieciated. Thank you.

I recieved this reply from rareseeds.com and they gave me the following messages: 1/1/08 "Michael, We only sell ground cherry seeds for $1.50 a packet or 1/4 oz for $7.50. Thanks for letting us know I will go to the site and see for myself. Pam" Then on 1/2/08 "Mike, I looked up the link and Jere also checked this out. After reading the responses to this guy from other forum members, Jere decided that he wouldn't worry to much about it. Also, the date is pretty old, almost a year. But, Jere said to tell you thank you very much for your concern about this. There are shysters everywhere it seems. Don't think this guy will get very far with knowledgeable forum members. I like to order rare, exotic, tropical seeds, too. The companies I have had good luck with include: Smart Seeds (smartseedstore.com), and they also have a store on eBay; Ecrater has a lot of very unusual tropical, but her seeds are expensive - fun to look, though -http://centerofthewebb.ecrater.com/c/442052/rare-exotic; Summer Hill Seeds has some great offerings, too, at summerhillseeds.com; Butterfly World in Florida sells tropical seeds, too - butterflyworld.com; choose "Gift Shop" to access seed list; Silver Hills Seeds (they are in Capetown, S.Africa, but several folks from the USA report very good experiences); Onalee Seeds sells several tropical seeds and she has nothing but fantastic reviews. The sources I mention are ones I have had very good results with, and the others have good reviews and ratings on "that other website"...... Susan

Hey JC, I just wanted to tell you that I have 2 brommies from the seeds I got from you at the Palm City swap still going strong. They are about an 1 1/2 inches tall now. Thanks so much. Wish I had something to temp you with for the seeds to the other one. But I don't have any exotic seeds. Maybe one of my sun brommies will make some seeds they are blooming now. Anyway, thanks again. The problem with many tropical seed sources is that the seeds are not fresh. You end up thinking that you did something wrong. When, in reality, the seeds you were sent were just too old. The place below always sends out fresh seeds. You can see this by the fact that certain seeds are only available at certain times of the year (after the fruit harvest). Most seed sources will send you seeds any time of the year because they don't care how fresh they are. This is not the cheapest source, but the seeds will produce plants, not frustration. I would also highly recommend the express delivery option on certain seeds because some will lose their viability in a matter of days. Seed sources outside the US. its a gamble, because they could be confiscated, I have ordered seeds from Thailand, Malaysia etc. and rarely experienced any problem.

PS, I had to delete one site from above list, that has banana in its name, seems they are guilty of spamming, never the less they are a good source of cheap seeds and have a good selection.
