I am so sad!

My husband built a coldframe so that I could harden off plants (tomato and pepper) and also to use as sort of a greenhouse. The weather has been wonderful until the other night, it dipped down to about 32 degrees. I thought all of my plants would be safe, it is insulated quite well. I went outside the next morning to check on them and all of them were dead. I lost over 70 beautiful plants. I think that what might have happened is the condensation trapped inside the coldframe after the lid closed dripped onto my plants and froze them when the temperature dropped. My question is this, does anyone have any ideas how to provide heat inside of a coldframe, so that this won't happen again? I would like for the temperature in the coldframe to be at least 60 degrees inside, when the temperature outside is below 32 degrees. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated...Lisa
