We had so much fun, I laughed so hard, it was truly almost non-stop
We went to a few other nurseries and the lady growing the monster vine, we meet her at the flower show and she gave us her address to go see the vine first hand, she did not know what a risk she could have been taking, lol
We were good tho, we didn't even snatch a seed from there
We stop at several pottery shops and Carol and PJ got some great deals. Carol is a serious barterer, lol
We got to stop at ANY house or roadside to get a better look at a plant or garden ornament, lol
Such a great weekend and one of the best things...PJ weeded my beds to take them home to plant them, LMBO
They were great guests and welcome back anytime

I could not get Jolana to turn around to grab the mulch guy. We saw him walking in downtown Austin but I guess she had plants on her mind cause she kept driving. lol

I forgot to tell you that Jolana loaded us up with plants before we left. Jolana, I owe you some plants because you gave me way more then I gave you.

She had brand new floors put down. They finished installing them the day we arrived. They were beautiful.

That picture of me with my hands in the air was right before we loaded in the truck and jetted to Jolanas.

I think I was saying "Okay PJ let's boogie".

I would love to get us all together. The most fun I ever had was going to Las Vegas with three other gals, I had never been and these ladies were PRO'S LOL so I just went along with whereever and whatever they wanted to do. That sounds funny don't it LOL. In other words I went with the flow not knowing anything about las vegas I let them show me around and teach me what to do and not do. They were feared I'd sale my ticket for cash if I run out of money that is but I told them they need not worry about that casue I don't wish to stay in vegas LOL.
We only got about two or three hours sleep each night and by the fourth day I was so ready to get home and I still had money left HA. I'm not one to throw money away on gambling by I did enjoy all the sights and getting away from it all.

I didn't read all the posts, but thanks for posting the pictures! You all looked like you had a wonderful time.

Barb, maybe sometime we can all get together and take a road trip. Kind of like the old post I did.

Linda, we had a blast. We took the trip at just the right time too. It started to get hot about a week later.

I am here. Been kind of distracted............BUT I AM HERE NOW. I doubt I would have been any good at keeping anybody under control, I stay so out of control myself. Heheehe.

That vine thingie looks YUK!...disgusting, kind of nasty...looking. I like 'unusual, exotic, different' plants, but I draw the line at things that look nasty. Did y'all get seeds for that thing?

I wish I could have been with y'all. It would have been a blast! I am thinking that we need to do a trip around in the fall tho. I printed out the thread about the good nurseries in Texas, and I am going to start plotting my route. I hope to see some of y'all on the way.

Next year, the MG conference is going to be in Montgomery County. Who lives in Montgomery County? The following year, it will be in Marshall, Texas. Who lives there? I only get out a few times a year, I need to start making them count!

I'm not crazy about that vine either. I'm not partial to any plants that look like they would eat me. lol

I think a trip in the fall would be great. Maybe a friend of mine down the street named Terry and PJ and some more garden club members could all take a road trip to the hill country or wherever we decide and meet some of you GWers and all hang out. Go nursery hopping, pot shopping and touring gardens.
