critters [birds?] prefer my striped fruit

i love striped varieties, especially 'chocolate stripes' and 'black and brown boar'. last year i hardly got any to eat, because so many were damaged by animals or birds. i have a short homeowner grade electric fence, scarecrow sensor water devices and put up a shiny owl and bird scare flash tape.

most of my tomatoes are left alone, especially pink fruited and cherry varieties. is there something about stripes? does that imply its birds that are the culprits-- are the stripes extra noticeable with UV vision? i know some flowers that look solid color to us have markings that birds or insects see, i wonder if the subtle stripes are more blatant to birds.
