It is a native azalea. Is it fragrant? Probably it is the Piedmont azalea, Rhododendron canescens. Very nice plant and worth keeping. It is really considered a shrub.

It's a cottonwood. Looks like Eastern cottonwood (Populus deltoides) to me. They are very fast growing trees that can get huge. I like them personally, but don't know how they rate as a yard tree.

No magnolias are orange with 3 petals. Is this indoors? Outdoors? Flowering now? If not when? And where? Flowers with 3 petals are relatively rare and are mostly monocots eg bulbs rather than trees or shrubs. Are you sure it is 3?
