Please tell me are there any nice friendly groups in Nashville that welcome "newcomer's".

We retired here and find that the neighbors stay to themselves.

Love animals, gardening and wild life.

Any "pot luck groups" in the city?

Welcome to TN...and our forum. You will find some very friendly people here...too bad you missed our plant swap on May 21...you could have met some of those nice people from Nashville. Maybe you can come to the the fall swap on Oct 15 and meet some them if you don't get a chance before then. Welcome to Nashville TnBella! My wife and I live in the Crieve Hall area. I don't know of any pot luck groups but we just joined the Mid TN Daylily Society for $10 a year and it's great! Shoot me an email at the address Jan just gave and I'll give you any help that I can.
By the way, I see where you joined back in January...you should have posted way before now!

Good morning all - oldies, newbies, lurkers and talkers! Have I forgotten my manners? Of course, I have excuses - the menagerie and the new kittens require my attention a lot, so I lurk more than I post, although I had to start that chocolate thread, a subject dear to me heart. Don't want to play favorites, but a special "Hi" to Mary B, I have missed your presence here. I, too, have a weedy garden, but this time of summer the blooms are so wonderful, the weeds are hardly evident. Pidge and Marda, lurking on the "other place" makes one feel so appreciative of the Garden Party Community, doesn't it?

This is a super fun thread. Experienced rose grower and give lots of good information about growing roses-Karl Most creative for interesting threads- Devon Most caring person for birthday wishes- Carla Best unusual roses-Beth(she is also my rose hero) Most missed- Oldroser and Lynette from BC. What do you mean old guy at 63? I also love my electricity, but I have a mama bear wood stove just in case. I love to get near a wood stove when it is cold. I try to be fairly organic but I resort to the bad stuff when other measures don't work. I do not believe in spraying for everything. A few holes or bugs don't bother me. When I buy corn some worms on the end is reassuring that it wasn't sprayed. I haul in grass clippings, and leaves that others throw away. Are you a city guy who moved to the country or have you always lived this way?
