Ways to sneak plants in ground a few weeks early

I going to start my seeds soon, and would like to get them in the garden a few weeks (or more)early this year. I have access to horse manure, am open to using electric means also. I'm thinking of building a large frame with clear plastic over the top, secured tightly. But besides black plastic, is there another way to warm the soil quite well? I have plenty of wood that I could burn along the row (not a long one, maybe 12 feet), then till in the ashes. But I'm not sure how far down that would warm the soil lol, just brainstorming at this point. any advice would be greatly appreciated!
