Deep Bed Plant Spacing Question

I started a 5' x 20' deep bed this summer. Dug it 18-20", added 4 cu/yds of horse manure to build a medium about 3' thick. My trellissing system is composed of 8' bamboo poles.

From what I have read about this type of garden, you want your plant spacing quite close, so that the mature plants leaves touch one another. This is not only for production, but so weed growth is limited.

Is there a source of information by plant type for proper spacing of plants using this method?

I no doubt crowded my plants a great deal this season, which I think will result in lower yields and result in a host of other problems (harvesting zuchini is quite a task). But, as you can see below, my garden is vigorous to say the least, with vines as long at 15' and my tomatoes 5 1/2 feet currently.

Thank you!
