They are all winters in my book. Sure looks like I'll be ordering some more roses, HA HA. I really liked GOLDEN FREELANDER & SOUTH AFRICA. Thanks for sharing them with us.

I am located in the Kansas City, MO area, not exactly California. I have grown Kordes' Brilliant in the Pacific Northwest and here in the midwest. It gets about 4 - 5 feet tall, has reasonably good disease resistance, but does benefit from a regular spray program. It is one of my first to flower and last to quit. Its growth habit is straight up, almost cylindrical, but spreading a bit. Its flowering habit is what you would expect as a grandiflora which would be a good class for this rose, but that class is not used in Europe. It blooms singly and in trusses as shown. The color in the photograph is quite close to real and is quite stable from beginning to end and through cool and heat. It does not have much of a problem with our winters here either with the multiple freeze-thaw cycles. It is fairly sturdy. It is one of the few that I have more than one of in the garden. It is available from Hortico and Vintage Gardens. I would put it as one of my better oranges.

Looking good Michelle all lovely Roses. I find when the pics are too big and you have to scroll up and down and back and forth You dont see them as well. I would like to see a smaller pic of Mary Mc Killop Please, its so pretty. If you need help with reducing to all the same size e-mail me.Beautiful all the same. Cheers..MM.

Just beautiful, Esther. Those are wonderful choices for a new garden and they are obviously healthy and happy roses. You have started with some classics that have stood the test of time. I hope you will share them with us again in June. That seems so far away, but I know I will be scampering to get the early spring chores done so I can enjoy the roses in June. Zone 7 would be my dream zone to grow roses! Thank you for giving us a first look at what's to come.

Beth, what a wonderful collection of new roses you have accumulated!

My favorites are Chablis, English Perfume, Pink Promise, RK Witherspoon and Pompom Flower Circus. The last one is outstandingly pretty!

Hello Beth,

I saw you posted pictures of Pompom Flower Circus. For quite some time, I have been looking literally all over for that rose. I've called every local nursery and online nurseries as well. No one has it in stock anymore. And I just found out that the growers have discontinued it.

I was wondering if you would be willing to part with a cutting? I would pay you for it of course. And shipping charges as well.
