Sheila, what a blessing. I just lost a friend this winter to a brain aneurysm. She was fine one moment and then not fine. Exactly a year ago another friend of mine had an aneurysm fixed near his heart (aortic aneurysm I think). It was an amazing feat. I'm still amazed that they found it and could fix it. Just tonight they were telling me me that they celebrated his one year "life day". The CT scans are fun, aren't they? Just tonight (with a different friend), we were discussing the "you will feel a little warm" side effect of the CT contrast. :) Still, I'd take a CT over an MRI any day of the week. I'm glad your diagnosis is so positive. :) Lisa

How lovely! All of my favorite birthday things: furry garden helpers and flowers! Who could ask for anything more? Beth, your MAAB is lovely and one of my favorites in my garden and Katie is adorable! Ron, you can see how happy and well loved Dusty was. And yes they do attach themselves to our hearts and never let go. It's been a year since we lost our Bill and my husband calls Jack "Bill" as often as he calls him Jack. Dave and Deb, Duke is certainly in his element amongst the gorgeous roses and clematis in "his" garden. And it's comforting to me to think of Duchess and Bill playing together at the Bridge. Kay, how are you? I haven't been around for a while, I had to take a break and get myself together. To everyone I want to tell you that I am so sorry for your loss and sadness, it is the worst pain anyone can have BUT it does get better, I promise. My heart and soul mate died 14 months ago and I wanted to die with him, I was in so much pain and so scared of what was going to happen to me without him; life must go on. I was told that it doesn't get better but it gets different and they were right. I still weep and some days are bad but I have more good days as time goes on. Life won't seem so alien after a while, I just felt like I didn't belong here any more, not in my home, my job or this world but I did finally settle with my feet back on the ground. It's not easy but you have to push youself to live and it eventually gets easier. Please take care of yourselves, get help if you need it and work hard at being strong, we will never forget and we will always love them and happier days are ahead. God Bless all, Mav.

marita40, I've seen them at Menard's. But I saw one advertised on TV that looked interesting. It had one that went on the front and the back of the door, and the two "snakes" were fastened together and the cloth ran under the door. That way you wouldn't set it aside when you open the door and have to put it back, it moved with the door and stayed in place all the time. I think it'd be easy to make. Couple chunks of the round pipe insulation and some kind of stiff fabric but if the price was right it could be worth a try.
