If someone is a chronic over-waterer and/or is using a very water retentive soil, it might be better o/a to allow the plant to go completely dry before watering than to habitually allow the soil to remain too wet; but that doesn't mean that allowing the plant to go completely dry is good for it. It isn't. Allowing it to go completely dry causes drought stress. Stress occurs when the plant is growing at or near the limits it's been programmed (genetically) to tolerate. Stress leads to strain, and strain always leads to the death of the organism unless the cause is corrected. I was a silent observer during a workshop being conducted by bonsai master Ben Oki. A lady was working on pruning the roots of a juniper when she asked, "How often should I water my plant?" To which he replied, "Wait until plant become completely dry; then, water day before." Master Oki had a dry sense of humor, so I was never able to ascertain whether he was trying to be funny or if the reply had something to do with the fact that English, for Ben, was a secondary language. What I do know is, the advice was spot on, and just what the sensei would have order for RM's dracaena. Al

ewwmayo: Thanks! I love all the little lithops babies. Once they all get bigger and need new homes I'm thinking of making a big lithops only pot that combines all or most of them. ^^ Here is a pic of my Adromischus maculatus. It is living with two lithops, which I now know is not really ideal, but newbie me didn't really knew that. Still they are surviving fairly well. When I bought the calico hearts, it was the only time I'd seen them in Korea, but later I saw a bunch of them at a flower/plant market here. ehuns27 & cactusmcharris: Wow! I'm always surprised by how many people live or have lived in Korea, especially since I didn't know anyone who had before my own journey here. Now whenever I'm online, I meet lovely people such as yourselves. ^^ I'm up in north Seoul in Nowon area, though I was originally in Songpa, near Garak Market (가락시장). You can find succulents and cacti at most neighborhood plant shops these days, but of course Yangjae (양재꽃시장) Flower Market is a great place for all different types of plants. Up north, there is the much smaller but still lovely Jangam Flower Market (장암꽃단지), which has some proper succulent cultivars. ^^ Succulents are quite the trend now, so even some of my students have succulents at home! ealdwood: The plants are often my kakaotalk profile pic, thus the emoticons. >.< And thank you~ ^^

Charline X - I’m familiar with Echeveria Albicans. This is not it. The girl who sold it to me said it’s echeveria ......berry. She forgot the word before berry :p

What do the feet look like? Are the cuffs at the top of the side columns brass?
