Changing your member infomation

I have tried repeatedly to update my email address on the 'member page' and it always reverts back to the original.

I have sent emails to the site and they only say they can't answer gardening questions?

This is not a gardening question.

My email address is WRONG?

Any suggestions?

I have had a similar problem for months, perhaps a few years.

My email is wrong.

My personal blurb is missing and one letter from a favorite forum is missing.

The update and edit screens accept the corrected information but it does not stick, reverts back to the original errors. The usual reload, restart etc. will not make the corrections stick.

I had a problem not long ago. The new info was 'accepted', but when I went to look at it, it was still the old info.

I think what I found was that it took a while for the info to get posted...wasn't instant. I may have tried a different browser too. Anyway, I did finally get it changed.

You might try changing it using a different browser

There are many of us who are disabled and can fully relate to your situation! I can't do anything that would require standing up or kneeling down. If it can't be done sitting at a table, it just won't get done. But there are plenty of wonderful smaller scale projects that can keep you busy. Best of all, they don't require a lot of room for storage either! It's all about working smarter rather than harder. Not a lot of problem for a creative mind to come up with some wonderful ideas. Thanks so much for sharing your site! I love the natural birdbath, the teapots (especially that Miss Piggy!), the dripping birdbath (great idea to keep the water moving to discourage mosquitoes), and the potting benches (wonderful way to use an old sink). I hope you plan to stick around this time so that we can see more of your work! jiju, what a horrible ordeal you went through! I can relate to the tiny space for gardening. I find that a lot of my garden junk needs to hang. I hope you post some of your GJ ideas for tiny spaces.

The pump was put in two weekends ago, and the waterfall has been sounding just so lovely. Before that I had the little skimmer pump moving the water around while we did water changes. All our fish survived, the only casualty of the winter was Bubba, the big frog. So now Wannabe is going to be called Bubba, and Waldo will be Wannabe, and any one of the smaller ones will be Waldo. They all look the same to me except for relative size... The goldfish are jumping out of the water, and our lone big koi is cruisin'. The had cheerios for a while in April, then spring/autumn food. Today the water temp was over 60, and I gave them summer food - mostly because I'm almost out of spring food... I have to order some. They sure didn't mind. The day the ice melted from the pond surface, was the day that the first lily leaf poked its head up. There are many lily leaves now and the pickerels and grassy marginals are all starting up. They all need repotting - but, no rush... We took the sediment filters apart last fall, they were working well but too large and unwieldy when wet. And the screws had rusted through. So we have to design a lighter weight version now. Meanwhile the double settling chamber is helping a lot even without the filters. Maybe we'll get that done this weekend. Weekends without ponding are hardly worth staying home for! :) Mary

I agree, a sort of FAQ thread would be great. A shame we don't have stickies here, so bumps will have to do. I suppose it wouldn't count count as spam if I bumped with pictures of my fish. :3

If you go to the top of the page when you are online, click on tools, click on internet options, you should get an option to delete temp files and delete cookies. You want to do both. Good luck Ramona

Make sure that you are using your mouse button to click on the submit button and are not just hitting the enter key on your keyboard.

If you are still having problems, please email us directly -- make sure you choose 'Technical Problem' from the pull down menu.

Hi GWTamara,

(There's no pull down menu referring to 'technical Problems' as suggested). Pressing the 'Submit' button, just yields message mentioned above about 'no one available' to answer gardening questions. These are NOT gardening questions, rather technical problems, issues, etc. Please have the powers that be address this continuing problem. Thank you.

Can't edit Member Page, the link to my EM addy is gone altogether. GW friends are complaining they can't EM me thru GW facilty.

Also pls. restore the Hoya FAQ, had valuable & often requested info. A fellow contributor made both time & effort to make the FAQs, I referred someone there this week, only to be told the FAQs are no longer there. PUT THEM BACK PLEASE!!!

To see the drop down menu click on the down arrow to the right of 'gardening question' in the 'nature of the message' box.

This won't help you get the info changed, but wanted to let you know that others can indeed email you, although it would be from their email, and not 'via' GW'....the way things are presently on your profile.

One can click on 'See my Journal'
then click on 'Send pirate_girl an Email'
then at the next page click on your email address.

Did you by any chance try updating with a different browser? I had problems when using Opera.
