A new trick ad on the site

There is a new type of ad on this site, this is getting ridiculous. After you post and get the "back to your post" message there is a FAINT banner that runs through the links to go back. This is sneaky BS IMHO. Also that friggin' OPINION pop up ad needs to go. This site is really getting HORIBLE to use.

Web master(s) get a life for Christ's sakes.....

Turn your pop-up blocker on, I did and haven't seen that
d--- opinion pop up or the banner. I do get the notice that the pop up has been blocked, but it doesn't interfere with anything.

Blocker IS on. Some ads can circumvent the blockers. Advertisers are getting wiser...., sadly.....

Hi Elizabeth, Neem Oil does not provide immediate gratification. There is virtually no instant death factor. Usually takes 3-14 days to die. The greatest benefit of using Neem Oil is in preventing the occurance of future generations. Click on My Page on my post above, then clip on My Clippings. There is a very good article about Neem Oil. I buy my seed envelopes at Staples - they're not cheap, but I find the plastic baggies hard to work with. The upside of the plastic bags is that you can see the seeds right away - the downside is that if seeds go into them that are the slightest bit moist, the mold probability is much higher than in the paper envelopes. When I was at Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum in London this summer, there were at least as many people (okay, women LOL) getting their picture taken with JD as there were people of both sexes getting their snapshot with the Queen. It's good to be gorgeous.

No pics, I'm sorry. We embellished quite a few cheapo RTA bookcases for my shop (entirely lost in a catastophic flood that's why no pics.) A light sanding and a good primer and it was no problem painting them. We put crown molding at the top and added finials to some of them. We use fence post caps as finials - lots of styles to choose from. We also trimmed the shelf fronts and side fronts with decorative molding. Fabric is easy with a spray adhesive since the backs of the less expensive bookcases are usually heavy duty cardboard. They looked great and people were always asking about purchasing them. Jasdip and Murraysmom, there's a bit of a fix you can do for the thread issue. If you sort by the middle display option (there's no name for it that I can tell, so sorry for the vague description) it shows the thread and the last person who posted in it, what they posted and how long ago it was posted. That helps a bit knowing if you've read it or not. My picture in my very first post shows you where to look for it. It's located on the main KT page with all the thread titles on it. Hopefully they will add something to tell us when it's been read but this is working for me in the meantime.

You might want to read through a a few of these threads for a solution...as there is likely a solution. Many members, myself included, myself included are never bothered by them. It is just a matter of getting things set up right. You may also want to do a search at the Computer Help Forum, as it is a frequently asked question there too.

Try this, go to tools, pop-up blocker, pop-up settings.
Then put it on "high" that worked great for me, I'm using IE 7.

Firefox is key, I've forgotten that GW even has adds, its almost like the days when spike ran it, except for those god damn clippings things, I hate those and can't get rid of them, or the whats new block at the top.

brendan the Remove It Permanently extension for firefox will get rid of them. Install it then right click on what you want to eliminate and click on RIP advanced and set it to remove from domain then right click on it again and click on 'remove this permanently' and its gone. You only have to set remove from domain once unless you want to change it.

I used RIP before, about a year ago or more, but it made the pages load all weird and I couldn't get rid of the whole section, just parts, in the end I figured it wasn't worth the weird loading and removed the site from the extension.

I have been using the site and have no pot up ads. My Mozzila Firefox blocks the adds and has one blocked right now. Jim in So. Calif.
