A couple of interesting things about the Revitol spammer: The acne product apparently being promoted is listed as having one active ingredient - benzoyl peroxide. Apart from not being herbal, it's the same agent sold in lots of over the counter products. They list a bunch of "inactive" ingredients, including some plant extracts (and decidedly non-herbal sounding things like methylpropanediol). Why sell a supposedly natural product if all the "natural" ingredients are listed as inactive? The herbsncures site linked to by the Revitol spammer makes the following statement: "Allopathic medicine is the conventional western medicine that aims at producing a certain condition in the body which is completely opposite to the bodily condition under the influence of a disease...Although, allopathic medicine provides instant relief but it comes along with some mild to severe side-effects. Besides allopathic medicine does not provide permanent cure as it does not work on the root cause of the disease but on the effects produced by the disease." You're supposed to get the idea that the products they promote are an "alternative" to nasty old allopathic medicine. Except they all seem to be allopathic treatments as well, only with a lot more inactive ingredients. Evidently "allopathic medicine" has gotten to be a catch-all term for "Western medicine" and is used as an all-purpose putdown. What the phrase's users don't realize is that herbalism, as well as most of the "dietary supplements" on the market are just as allopathic as "Western" pharmaceuticals - they're aimed at countering the signs and symptoms that plague disease sufferers. The opposite of "allopathic" is homeopathic - a practice that supposedly ameliorates disease by giving you an extremely diluted dose of something that causes the same symptoms (but is basically just water). The vast majority of supplements and agents like Revitol have in common with homeopathic drugs that they're ineffective for what they claim to treat, but the resemblance stops there.

I love that nectarine candle, not sharing it in the guest bathroom I have it in my bathroom and my toenails have never been cleaner with the nail brush! The Lemon hand wash is one of my fav scents summer scents. Love the float for the pool, maybe I can use it if the weather settles itself so far it has been a bad swim for us working people summer. All the nice sunny weather is during the week, except for today expecting 2in of rain. The gardeners hand cream is very nice i didn't see that one at B&B. hello well I'm fully into getting ready to move(funny we have not evan listed the house or looked at a new one yet) but I'm going throug 10 years of accumulated stuff and getting rid of much of it. my aim is to get most unnessasary stuff packed and put in storage before we evan list the house. I still need to do some painting and lots of rilly good cleaning. wow I would love to have a house with 3 acres, but we are looking to move to Missouri, about 20 to 30 miles from here, I would like to be much closer to my in-laws farm so I can do much of my gardening there(180 acres should be enough to keep me buisy for a few years) idealy I would like to build a house at the farm but it is over a mile to the nearest house, and I'm not sure I want to be so isolated. well I can't wait to see what I get..... stay warm everyone michelle

I need some industrial strength help. Some chemistry background wouldn't hurt. I've been tasked with cleaning up a mess that has has the backing fully involved. Enough moisture has turned it into a solid mass. It's also an expensive deep pile carpet, so mechanical means isn't really going to do it. I've got most/all of the sandy granular components out - I have a Kirby vacuum and carpet cleaner. I've also dug out lots of the clay with a hoof pick, but that's also limited to breaking loose the surface clay on the carpet backing. All I can come up with now is flushing everything repeatedly with water and surfactants using a rental cleaner. Assuming someone doesn't have a better idea, suggestions for a soap that deals well with clay would be greatly appreciated. Declaring the carpet a loss really is a last resort - this stuff probably runs $10/sq ft. I picked up a gallon of BioKleen Bac-out and tried half of it - it works, but doesn't deal well with the clay - and any residual clay will continue to stain and smell. Thanks!
