Well my goodness! Wow those were all just gorgeous. I have to confess that I have never purchased from Vintage but only because it just hasn't worked out. I'm really torn right now between removing half of the front yard for next year or just making a donation has been suggested. I have to carefully look through your list. That's very good of you to do.

One thing I'm looking for (any class of rose is fine) is roses that are smaller since I'm so very out of space. I'll start with your list there and do some reading. Thanks for taking the time.

Wow Beth, gorgeous roses. I tend to forget just how many roses you have sometimes:) I really like Candy Stripe and Monet though, you ought to be reaching a lot of people with these wonderful photos of all these roses.

Irisgal, Vintage lists KISME as hybridized by Raffel, 196?. It's a lovely floribunda. Stays fairly small and repeats pretty well, despite the lack of care it gets!!

SuzyQ, when you leave your email, that's just so they can notify you when the rose comes up available. If you were to request a custom-rooting, you'd be charged something like $40 (I think) for the custom-root service. The craft shop is coming along slowly. We've been open for almost 2 weeks and have had quite a lot of people coming in, but not spending much money yet. Of course, we don't have all our merchandise in yet, and haven't officially advertised yet. All word-of-mouth from my co-workers at Ace. Have to keep that job til we get making a profit. Could be awhile Thanks for asking!!

I highly recommend the floribunda Razzle Dazzle. It has a great non-fading cherry red with a clear white reverse. It holds its form pretty well for a floribunda. It's super floriferous and does not get mildew! If you love reds with white reverses like I do, this one is fabulous!

I wish I had a picture of it in it's bud form, but this is all I have.

Oooh, that's lovely Hershi!! I've almost ordered that one a couple of times. Hmmmm... I could add to my order.... Thanks for showing it. There aren't many pics of it out there!

I have a couple of light sun spots that could use a lift for the first two roses. I don't know where I'll put Norwich Castle but I'll think of something. I just can't say no to Beth the Rose Goddess:) How is the rebloom on NC?

So Beth you are in the area of 2000 roses now aren't you? That's why you're my hero.

Oh Kate, you'll love NC. It's got pretty decent rebloom. And the blooms are really beautiful. Mine grows about 4-5ft high. It's usually one of my first roses to bloom every yr. And, no, I haven't hit 2000 yet. In fact, I lost a LOT of roses this yr, and some are not going to get replaced.

I put my order in today. I ended up with what I mentioned above namely two Ballerinas, Buff Beauty and a Lavender Pinocchio. I was most tempted by Norwich Castle but I bought a lot of cool colored roses last winter and I need something warmer for out front. I've heard Lavender Pinocchio is a really great rose.

Sorry to hear about the demise of several of your roses this year. Was that owing to the hot/dry weather and the fires? I mean I assume with the compulsory evacuations and all you weren't able to do all you would have liked in the garden for what proved to be the entire month of July.

But now what's this about not replacing roses that have gone onto the great hereafter? I can't believe my ears! I know you are starting a new business though so I'm sure you don't have as much time as you would like for them right now.

Kate, I just got a confirmation on my roses, and I assumed they weren't shipping til March, but they are going out Oct 20th!!! Yay!! Altho, one of my original ones was sold out... BLUE RIBBON. Bummer. They subbed with TIMOTHY EATON. The other roses I'm getting from them are PICTURE and JOHNNIE WALKER which will replace their dead conterparts; PINK MASTERPIECE which will replace the one that has never done anything in 8yrs; and COURVOISIER and TYRIUS which are new ones to me. Been wanting COURVOISIER for yrs!!

Some of the dead roses I'm just not replacing due to them not being very good ones. And I'm seriously limiting how many roses I'm buying this yr. I really am running out of room, and with the shop and working my real job fulltime, I won't have much time for the roses for awhile. Plus the deer are really discouraging me this yr. I have to deal with that next spring. I HAVE to find a way to keep the Ba$#@&*s out of my yard completey. The spray isn't working anymore!!
