Thanks palmcirtusbananavaz7! Dennis, I think the largest majesty I saw was in the part 1 of the pics. Im trying to remember if I saw a larger majesty palm because I think I did, but their definitely weren't too many large majesty palms. But the majesty palms I did see looked very healthy! Time for some Lemon Boy (pics)

Hey folks, it's nice to awake to some sunshine for a change. Picked a 1 lb+ Brandywine on the way to work. There was a calling card left nearby from a hornworm and no way was I going to take a chance (LOL). Regarding Lemon Boy (maybe), I've never grown Lemon Boy before and so I can't compare to past growing experiances. It is regular leaf though, not potato leaf. Yellow Brandywine I have grown numerous times in the past along with a number of other large yellow varieties. The Y.B. plant currently in the garden is potato leaf. I've sampled both of the fruit pictured above and they in no way taste like Yellow Brandywine. LB and YB would not register anywhere near each other on the flavor spectrum. On the topic of fruit shape, I've seen unexpected shapes come from varieties that are suppose to produce perfectly round fruit before. But thats not to say there is not an issue with the variety pictured above. It was grown from a fresh unopened pack of seed. If there was a year for controvesy with varieties this is it. I purchased a few plants this year from a reliable source in Houston only to discover that their Black Krim ended up being Black Prince. I'm interested in seeing what comes from the other two plants of Lemon Boy that I have growing in the garden. Both of the other two plants of Lemon Boy were purchased as plants. Jay

It gives me such warm fuzzies to be amongst so many wonderful people who loves their furbabies...here's our contribution This is Mama...she was recued in 2001 at a humane adoption...I took her cause I wanted her baby son...couldn't stand the thought of breaking them up...and she ran her son off 3 years later... She's also known as mean ole mama cat cause she's still very afraid and skittish after 8 years! This is the collie clan...Duncan is 9..Abby is 3 and Gabe just turned 8...(yes we had a cupcake party!) DH took this at the soccer fields this week where they get to run wide open!! this is them during a widdle GA snowstorm last winter...they loved it! Duncan Gabe Abby and last but not least...THE Precious Puddy Cat...mostly known as Puddy but also answers to Precious My son's best friend gave her to us 2 years ago when she was just over 6 weeks old and she has absolutely captured my heart...everynight she crawls into my lap for her massage/rubbins...we think she is Berman/Himmy/Persian...but who the heck knows...WE LOVE HER!! here she is being crazy...all she needs is a beer and a cig! I do sooo love seeing all ya'lls animals...It warms my heart...

They're all lovely but Peaceport really stood out for me since it's rather unusual but in a beautiful way. Swirling Orange is really pretty although it doesn't look orange, which is probably why I like it. The colors are subtle and harmonious.

I agree with Jean!! I really like your Abracadabra, Joshua Bradley and Showtime!!! Josh is a really nice looking rose!! Does it have fragrance?

Peaceport looks very promising. Like its color.

How does VIENNA CHARM do for you? I see it's a Kordes rose so should have good vase life??? Is color consistant?

Inga, I think it's fun to take pics of the cool-looking weeds. And I agree... all our flowers were once weeds!!

Carol, I don't notice much fragrance on JOSHUA BRADLEY. But he's a beauty!!

Irisgal, VIENNA CHARM is a weird rose. I've had it for maybe 6-7yrs, and this is the best bloom I've ever seen on it. Actually, there was a second one that opened after this one that looked good too. But, unfortunately, they blow within a day. There are a lot fewer petals that you think on those blooms. It reminds me a lot of another rose I have that's not a very good one, and that's SIGNORA. They both have few petals and blow within a day. I'm going to s/p SIGNORA, but not VC. I like it better.

Beth, your roses are beautiful.. The Canada Thistle that you have is not, please pull and destroy or you will have them all over the place. Nasty, nasty weed, there isnt a part of the plant, except the roots, that does not have a very sharp prickle on it so be careful!! Kat

And Kat, I definitely will get that thing pulled out as soon as I get some time. Never had it in my yard anywhere else before. In that same bed tho, I have a nasty wild sweet pea that I just can't seem to keep out of there. I hate weeds!

Boy that Gerbera Daisy just jumps out at me. I want a colorfast rose just that color. Joshua Bradley is my favorite of the group, although I love the color of English Perfume too. Too bad about the Thistle being a noxious weed. The flower is real "purdy".
