Thanks Jim!! What a head-slapper! Makes perfect sense that the part of the rose that grew was the part that got sunÂÂ.. And yes, it is a new rose  only in the ground for a year now, so I take it the short side will catch up this year since I learned not to let it get totally buried under burgeoning summer annuals? Below is a photo (woo-hoo!! I figured out how to embed a photo!!) of what the rose had to contend with last summer, and the rose canÂt even be seen! The only reason why I knew it survived during the summer was because now and then a lovely rose would poke through the canopy of tomatoes! The roses in the picture you posted are beautiful!!!

Honor Guard, Bayer Advance, and Immunox all should work, as they're all antifungals. The hot tap water is interesting, but I'd be afraid to harm the plants with the temperature of the water, lol. You should also trim your roses to improve air circulation. This goes a long way. My problem continues to be Chili Thrips. I can not shake them. Even the cold snap we just had did little to curb the problem. I am in the process of going on a heavy cycle in order to try to control the numbers. I'm trying to take advantage of the dry weather to spray without fear of daily rain, which throws off my plans often.

I saw this rose at my garden centre the other day. It is beautiful. But i’ve Read that it is not disease resistant.

Machines have been haveing trouble balancing almost since day one, I adressed it with Bosch and they were fine. I more or less only use them for full loads of like stuff and big stuff like comforters and area rugs. They clean well but with only a 1000 watt heater and and only cold water connection, this differ from the US ones that has both it takes forever to wash. Jtc: it is my homes laundryroom. I live on a farm, no animals besides 2 rottweiler dogs and my partner. We have alot of people over and since it is somewhat far alot stay over so I do alot of laundry. The big Bosch and the miele are 11 years and my small Bosch I think is 8 or 9 years. My lundry is in a other boulding on the farm 10 steps from my front door and is 2 rooms, one for dirty and one for clean drying laundry and ironing-folding-mangleing. I will report back when they are in operation but it will be few weeks since need powerlines need to be put in with more amps.
