May I respectfully point out that Austin roses are under patent and really shouldn't be traded this way. There are lots and lots of true antiques to trade that are not under patent. Many provide the same romance although perhaps not the distinctive Austin color palette. Look at the Pemberton hybrid musks, the noisettes and the hybrid perpetuals..there are great large flowered climbers and true tea roses..

It's very difficult to find a plant if you don't search using the Varietal Denomination. I'm happy with mine. I planted it spring of 2016 as a bareroot rose from DA. I then moved it this spring, and expected it to sulk, but it went on the bloom very nicely and is growing well; it's a nice bushy 3'x3'. I can't say how well it reblooms, considering it's young and has been transplanted once, but it does have a nice handful of roses on it right now. I think the flowers themselves are cute, but not spectacular. I'm treating it more as a landscape rose, so more interested in the overall effect. It's beautifully healthy with no spraying here. The only thing I'm not in love with is the nodding blooms. Does it do that for everyone, and will that change over time, or is that just a permanent characteristic? -Chris
