Iris gal no that one is a different lily but i have over 50 different types. I just love plants. I have about 1000 orchids plus amaryllis and tropicals and odd and unusual stuff. About 100 plumeria and 50 desert roses. Always something blooming. THats the lord smiling.

Tedhort and tulsarose. Sorry, I forgot to thank you for your responses. Ted, the family Euphorbiaceae is certainly where phyllanthus lies, and Rosie (Tulsarose, love that name) after looking at the link you so knidly provided I'm almost inclined to say yep, no doubt. The picture is almost identical I reckon, flower and leaf-wise anyway, to the one in the pic I provided, except the tinge of pink is missing in both flower and new-leaf growth. I'd almost reckon they were in the same family, however, a check of the leaf arrangement on the stems shows my plant has an alternate leaf arrangement, whereas, from what I can determine, Alstromyrtus has opposite leaves, and for that (and probably other) reasons belongs to the family myrtaceae. So, because of the distinct pink tinge in both leaf and flower, I reckon Saltcedar's suggestion of Phyllanthus is nearer the mark. Thank you all.

Jill I just looked at 'Girona' which is from viintagegardens, and which is in bloom this week and the inner petals are yellow with the outer petals pink., its' usual colors. I've never seen peachy tones on this rose. The reverse of ' Etoille de Feu' is a distinct Turkey red. If it isn't Brandy, might you post a photo of the reverse sides of the petals? Thanks, Lux.

Are you enough of a grass person that you can tell if it is a Pennisetum?? Don't put too much stake on whether a grass is described as "bluish-silver" or "blue-green" because conditions may affect foliage color to some extent. The main reason I said it may be a Karly Rose is because (a) it is already blooming for you (b) the purplish color of the "fluffy powder puffs." I still wager it's a Penn. Karly Rose.
