Masha, your roses and photos are so incredible beautiful!

The spring flush rose blooms are always so special, fresh and exciting! I totally can relate that they make you happy.

Beautiful roses and pics Masha! What fun. I'm still waiting for mine to start popping. A few days ago it seemed like they were going to, but then it started raining again, and it's been friggin' COLD! The irises are stalled and so are the roses. It's maddening. I am so absolutely sick of winter and rain I could just scream!!! And I'm soooo sick of everybody saying "oh, but we NEED it!" or "You know, we're still in a drought!" Bullcrap! Enough rain already!! I want warmth, sunshine and BLOOMS!!!

Ok, enough venting.... it's just that your gorgeous pics make me want it even more.... waaaah!

Your pictures are quite nice and good quality. The April in Paris appears to give the term "delicate" a new level of meaning. Does it smell nice? I thought it did have a fragrance. I have seen it, but I do not grow it at the moment. Your Double Delight shows that it can actually be grown without a split center. Keep them coming.

Poor Beth. I understand her frustration, but spring arrived here with a vengeance. All of a sudden it got warm, in the 80s, and everything exploded into bloom all at once. All the spring stuff is blooming. A normal, bad day pollen count is in the 1000 units, but our pollen count today was over 5000, a record. Lots of people, including myself, are not feeling well because of this. I just take my antihistamine and hope for rain to clear the air.

Your roses are so beautiful and you sure know how to show then off to their best advantage----

Beth, I am sorry, I have been feeling sad too. At least you have the consolation that your spring flush won't be ruined by wet and cold. Half of mine was. Lots of my roses stopped growing too. But the heat is surely coming, and then there will be no end of watering, watering, watering....

Bustopher, April in Paris has a wonderful fragrance, very strong and flowery, not heavy, not too sweet. Perfect for me. It is also a very vigorous bloomer, and a very fast repeater. It is totally disease free here. The only objection I have is the color. In the heat (which is most of the blooming season here) it blotches badly, really badly, and coupled with thrip damage it is pretty ugly to me. I bought mine as an expensive standard and put it in a prominent part of the yard, and I am not too happy about it. If I were to do it over again, I would buy it as a bush for an out of the way corner, so I could enjoy the fragrance but not look at the blooms too often:-).

Florence, I am glad your Zeffy is ready to bloom. Are you looking forward to smelling that gorgeous fragrance? I hope you post pictures.

Your roses are amazing. And so many! You aren't that far from me, but your roses are weeks ahead of mine. I am jealous. I really like your April In Paris. How does it do in the heat?

Kathy, April in Paris does reasonably well in the heat, not any worse than my other HTs. It doesn't stop blooming, and the blooms don't shatter too fast. However, it shows thrip damage and blotches badly.

Krista, I can tell pink roses are your favorite:-). I love pink, too.

Crown Princess Margareta is absolutely gorgeous. My Carding Mill is more pink than usual too but I like it.

This is very, very belated but I just wanted to say how gorgeous your camera shots and roses are looking! One of your shots of Handel reminded me so much of my beloved Gemini; Joseph's Coat and Double Delight-the 3 are my favorite aesthetically.

Masha, I am just drooling over these photos, excellent!! What type of lense did you use? I got rid of my CPM a long time ago, seeing your pics makes me want to get another one.
