Delicious looking leaf lettuce. I pulled mine as it was getting bitter. Petunias do so well for you. That lavender double is quite striking. I was surprised to find some self seeded in my garden. The rabbits or deer ate the tops of some of my mahagony midget coreopsis but the others are blooming nicely. Next year I might plant some in a container like you did. Last year I got no blooms because of the critters.

Yep, they were in the pics, they would be on the left hand side of the pics showing the grouping of trees. I find it way too easy to laugh as fozzybeth... way way too easy. shes just... lets say unique ;) thanks for the comments thought :0 we'll see what the pics look like in a month or 2 heh the Pom doesn't look so good anymore... it has lost 80% of its leaves now :( ahh, the mess will be soon over and all the remaining trees BETTER keep all their leaves!!! I am really worried about WLD. I am NOT wanting to go through it, but... being I have alrady moved them in, I should be ok I think. the leave drop is due to the change in temp, and then... I just hope I am ok on it. no bugs so far on any trees... so hoping to be safe! Make sure fozzy beth knows how crazy I think she is, and how much I apreciate all she has done... and that I am waiting impatiently on haircuts hehehe

I tend to have lots of intentional "weeds" in my gardens :) I wouldn't totally get rid of them, because I like them too. I just have to work to keep them under control. The grape hyacinths are so pretty right now, but when they are finished blooming I have to get rid of the seed pods quickly. They multiply really fast by bulb too, so I'm digging them often. They really are much brighter & prettier in person than in that picture. Jean, your roses are always so beautiful, I just love your pictures of them. I only have a couple of shrub roses, and Japanese beetles love them to death. I would love to have some floribundas or tea roses, but I can't stand to see the beetles making lunch of them.

Yes, it is a tulip in the azeala, funny thing, cause I didn't plant it there!! Figured the squirrels must have done some light landscaping. I have never even bought a tulip like that and there were two like that and a red one under the azalea, the color match was pretty good, have to put those squirrels on the payroll!!! I will move them after the foliage dies down, keeping them close to the azalea. I think it is some type of fringed tulip I won a $15.oo gift card to a local Perkins restaurant for my photo of daffodils. Thanks for the nice comments-- Yes Rita, I also love Lupine, and it does bloom for me, the clump in the picture, was moved last year into this new bed, and it is putting up several flower heads now. I have more in another bed, I usually dead head them to get more blooms, but found out from visiting someone else's garden that if left to seed, they will reseed themselves. Not sure they remain true to color though. Today was just a beautiful sunny day here and I saw my first hummingbird feasting on the Weigala. Cindy
