Can you post a pic of the wound? The biggest thing to do now is to stop moving your plumie. It's extreemly stress full for a plant to move from the garden store to a new home, then inside, then back outside again. Not to mention having it's roots disturbed with repotting. Often times as well Plumeria will come from the growers directly out of the greenhouse with no transition to the outside, which is a huge shock to the plant. You might want to consider giving it some liquid seaweed and or superthrive to help with the shock, but as long as it's still got new growth don't move it. ~Jen

I know that sick feeling all too well!! Eight weeks ago I picked a wood and color that I loved. It's a warm wood tone on beech with rustic knots. It's been so many weeks since I've since it that I began panicing all this week as the cabinets were scheduled to arrive. I was freaking out thinking I had ordered cabinets so rustic that I would need to hang antlers in the kitchen just to 'carry on the theme'!! :-) I've seriously lost sleep over this! Well, they arrived this afternoon and all my fears are gone - - they are stunning! With just the right amount of rustic to look Old World and the warm wood tones are gorgeous. I, too, have a creamy colored island and it's beautiful. Let's just hope it all comes together as pretty in real life as it is in my head! :-) I had visions of a creamy white kitchen as well, but when it didn't go with anything else in my house, I knew I had to lose the dream. But pictures of creamy kitchens will always make my heart beat quicker!! I hope you grow to LOVE your new kitchen - cherry wood and all! I look forward to seeing pictures!

Tinker, I remember those posts you made. I'm so glad that everything is working out for you! I totally understand the whole second guessing thing. Right now I have my "kitchen in a bag" I bring with me to show everyone. In the bag is a sample of my granite, handles, flooring and cabinet paint. My husband thinks I'm crazy. (in a good way!). I can't say for sure what causes buds to drop dead like that, but it's not something I would be too concerned about. I think it may be because there is so much proliferation in the plant tissue there; The plant is unable to support so much growth at once and ends up "dropping" them. Again, this is what I think is happening. I've seen it happen to all my plumerias and they still go on to continue producing tons of flowers until winter. The tacky yellow stuff is also common in some plants and doesn't seem to pose a serious issue. I can't say whats up with the black spots though.
