I really dislike this site!!! Posting my rose pics.

I tried to post a rose pic in the post your favorite rose photo. Well I messed up the first time, and tried to reply to the post again and post a picture, but it kept saying I already posted. I don't understand this. I thought you could reply to a post more than once. Then when I try to use the "contact us" link to ask them why this was, it popped up an error saying they don't answer question related to flowers, only their website.

WTF!!! I was asking why I could not post! Not any question on flowers!!! Anyway, here it is. My Moonstone rose I was trying to post.

Thank you, Victoria and Eahamel for more beauties. I have been fantasizing about apple scent in yellow, and Victoria gave the answer, Alberic Barbier. Hansa is great in deep pink. Eahamel, I always love Carefree Beauty here in Chicagoland - it's more stunning than the boring Knock-outs. I'll check out Old Blush and Blush Noisette. My sister in her 60's, who is never married said to me, "I want to give you this advance ... because when I die, I want to leave something beautiful behind." That speaks well for gardeners: the least we can do is to leave behind something beautiful that grace the planet earth after we die. The house at the corner is in foreclosure, abandoned for years. There's a mighty ugly climbing rose that went wild. It's a real eye-sore for the neighborhood. I will NEVER plant climbing rose in my zone 5a, and neither does the rose park nearby. In contrast, I remember the house with a big garden of hybrid teas in front. It was the highlight of my long walk home during my junior high years in Michigan. Someone mentioned Rose de Rescht thrived while abandoned in Illinois. Another mentioned Louis Odier thrived with beauty when no one watered him. That's the type of beauty I'm after. Something that grace the earth, rather than being an eyesore.

Hi NEroseman, I don't think 'Lady Gay' is it either. From the description of 'Lady Gay': "Orange-pink & orange-pink blend blooms. Strong fragrance." My rose tends to be a pale pink to pink in color & doesn't have much of a fragrance at all. Man, this can be mind boggling with all the roses out there(Rubbing head)! LOL It may be a while, since my rose only blooms once it year, but as soon as it blooms again I'm going to try & get some more close up shots of it with a petal count, etc. ;o) Blessings, Beth

I bought a Toto Eco Flush CST784EF for our master bathroom and it is terrible. You need to have a toilet brush scrubber by you each time you use the bathroom because there is not enough water or pressure to clean the toilet. And, it was $600. The biggest waste of money I ever spent. Go with American Standard. We bought one of those for our powder room and it is amazing for 2/3 rds of the cost.

I took a look at your Etsy page and it looks like you have done the HTML coding perfectly. To confirm that, I copied the visible HTML code from your web site and pasted it below. You can see that it works correctly as a hot link here on GardenWeb: click here for more designs I have had a similar problem on one other web site myself, and found there was a way to get around that. On that site, there was an option to "Disable BBCode"; if it was checked, the hot link didn't work and the HTML code displayed just the way yours does. By unchecking that box, the hot link worked. However, you may not have that option available to you on Etsy when you are editing your page (I just don't know, since I'm not an Etsy member). For some reason the Etsy webmaster may have the site set up so that you can't post "external" hot links. I did look quickly through some other Etsy listings, and those that did have hot links led to galleries within Etsy. I wish I knew more about Etsy to advise you better. But here are my three suggestions: 1) Remove the HTML code and just have the link with a note to the shopper to copy and paste it to look at your Photobucket gallery. 2) Go to the Support Forum within Etsy and post your original question asking if it is possible to do this on the Etsy web site. Or go to the Contact link at the bottom of the Etsy home page and send an inquiry directly to them about this. 3) Figure out how those other folks got galleries uploaded to the Etsy site, and then upload those pictures directly to Etsy. Good luck. Please report back on what ended up as the solution.

Olivia, you just have to change the "subject of posting" on your subsequent post. If someone else posts something after you, you should be able to post without changing the subject heading. You can also put multiple pics in one post instead of doing it like you just did here. Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it!

The striped rose is called Scentinental. It has a lovely scent. Moonstone rose is my favorite. The blooms are huge, but their is no scent. I bought all these roses last year, so I am really looking forward to this summer. I am hoping they will do well.

I've heard Geoff doesn't bloom too much..your looks gorgeous. The others are good looking also. I'm hoping to find Moonstone at the local stores. I really want one of those!! Thanks for the pics.

What kind of rose is the 4rth one? It is similar to one I am currently trying to root.

The 4th rose you are talking about I believe you mean Geoff Hamilton? I believe it's an english rose. I bought it at Lowe's marked down and in terrible shape. I had no idea what it would look like except for the picture on it. I could not believe it bounced back the way it did, but near the end of summer it got blackspot and thrips loved the pink roses. I will have to wait and see how it does this summer, but I am going to spray before spring for blackspot in hopes I can prevent it.
