good bye X-tra HOT chile .... :(

Husband this year has had to lay off the extremely X-tra HOT green chile he grows from seed (100 lbs. picked so far this year) & and had always eaten because of mouth tissue problems. Now all the frozen from last year & that which will be roasted & frozen x this year's crop will have to be given away !!! Plenty of takers though!

He said he will try growing some of the seed of the local medium hot next season but this year ... off to WalMart he went to buy 4 sacks (?120 lbs.)of medium hot Barkers green chile from Gillis Farms in Hatch, NM. $15.88/bag roasted. Think when the Bhut is ready I will (with gloves on!) just make ristras from them as we have Bhut powder left over from last year. Hopefully this mouth problem will go away so he can enjoy his chile again!
