Help identifying pepper plants

Hi, i was wondering if its possible to determine the type of pepper by the look of the plant? I planted a couple peppers in container for the first time and they werent labeled as to what type they were just "hot peppers" and i would love to know what they are. I was shocked to see one plant actually has a tiny pepper as i thought they would never actually grow anything but here are some pictures:

Pepper plant 1(also have 2 others that look the same)

Is there anything i should do to the plants now to help them grow better?

Any help would be great,

The purple pepper plant I believe called a Purple Peruvian
Capsicum frutescens the one flowering is a Cayenne pepper plant

Thanks for the help! I also have another question if someone could possibly answer for me? I plan to over winter these inside for as many years as they live what im wondering is if they last for years what do i do when they become root bound? Do i keep putting it in larger pots every time? I think my plants now are root bound should i leave them since they are flowering or would putting them into bigger pots still make them grow better as of now?

I think the chard is heat stressed, I'm in west tx and while i do grow chard, i make sure it gets afternoon shade. I have some under my porch actually now, so it gets mostly shade except a few hours in the morning. The peppers are ok I think. Do they flatten out when it is cooler in the morning? I don't see any yellowing that could be virus related, and there doesn't appear to be pest damage. Again, I'm implying heat has something to do with it, like tomatoes, peppers will drop their flowers if it gets too hot, and from my experience, soil temp is more of a factor than air temp. So, mulch could help both of those issues, or watering mid day a bit. It has a pepper on it, so it can't be too bad off. For me, i try to plan for things to get afternoon shade because its always so hot. Where i don't get afternoon shade i plant squash, eggplant, cukes, watermelon, or whatever else thrives in very hot temps. The eggplant looks like its getting fed on by maybe a few insects, i think a detergent/ water mix or Neem oil might be best since it looks like its from some type up suckers. Maybe a bit of leaf miner damage too, and if so spinosad has worked awesome for me.

Hi Everyone, I appreciate the input. So apparently I wasn't paying enough attention to the weather--we had another heat wave and the plants are heavily wilting in the afternoons. It's hard for me to say if the leaf damage is the result of the heat or the small bug--I'm guessing it's the heat. I'm going to keep watching this and see how things develop. I also looked up our County Extension office and might head over there as well. Thanks again!

Take the plant out of the pot, wash the roots and then prune them a lot and then replant in fresh soil....prune the top as much as you prune the roots.

I assume you mean cutting the roots? Do i just cut off a chunk of the bottom of the rootbound plants like so:

or some other way?

Cut an equal amount off both top and roots......if you prune the top radically, prune the roots radically.
