I can't read the name

One of my plumies that I've had for a few years has finally got an inflo. The buds are still fairly small. They are a dark pink on the outside. I think the name says something like Kupio. I'm not quite sure. When I looked kupio plumeria up online all I get is a flower forum in a language I don't recognize. Does anyone have an idea what variety this might be or if I even have the spelling correct? I don't think posting a pic now would be any help but I'll post when it blooms.

Maybe it's 'Kuipo'? you might have switched some letters.

It's interesting that the word 'Ku'uipo' means sweetheart in Hawaiian. Sometimes words get misspelled and they stick. Anyone speak Hawaiian?

Thanks! I should have thought of that... great idea! By the way, I did manage to find a picture that had this iris blooming in the background... Quite lucky to have found it, actually, because it only had the 1 bloom, and that was it! Sorry it's not a very close up picture. I was taking a picture of all the things I brought home from the nursery that day, and it was a group shot. I plan on calling the nursery where I bought it anyway... just thought you all might like to see what I was talking about! Buff

Is it at all possible you backed it up using the wrong suffix? Do you still have the original file on your hard drive. If you did give it the wrong suffix and you still have the original file on the hard drive simply burn it to the CD again with the correct suffix. If you deleted the original then copy the messed up file back to the hard drive and rename it with the correct suffix, then burn it again.

What version of TB do you have? TB v10 is the current full-release version. I normally don't recommend over writes, but in this case I would recommend over writing with the current version. Historically all your settings and data will be retained. However, if there are any e-mails important to you I would first print them out. DA

I read it, and I did find it very helpful in terms of understanding what seperates good lighting from bad. It doesn't have any sort of charts that will tell you how many of what sort of lamp it takes to achieve a certain level of light, but it's an excellent introduction. Thanks Dave. That's it. I must have been having a dyslexic moment. lol I only found one site that showed a plumie with that name. It was a very pretty pink/white/yellow flower. Hopefully it will look like that. I should know soon enough.

Did you get the cutting from Evelyn? She had some for sale. It is white with a dark pink stripe on the back.

It's possible, I don't remember where I got it. The outside of the bud doesn't have any white on it. They haven't opened yet so I don't know what the bloom will look like. They should start opening later this week, I hope.
