Hello Karen, How lovely your plumerias look.Well done! You must be so excited to see the flowers coming. I long to see mine in flower but nothing as yet. I've given them more exposure to the sunlight as Bill suggests. As a consolation I do have a lovely English garden.

Congrats Karen! That rainbow looks like this one on ebay called Kahala Rain. I don't know if that is any official name though. I just bought some cuttings from her so maybe if I'm lucky in two years I'll have some rainbow blooms! LOL!

These are the only pics I have right now of my plumeria plants in the ground. In each picture there is one large plant with two separate small plants in front. I set them out in the ground together like that this year. The large plants were cuttings given to me that I rooted last summer. I got the smaller plants at Lowes last fall on clearance for $1 each! They have grown well this year but no blooms. Maybe next year!

Kevphol, That looks really cool too. Lovely setting. Your plants cost $1 !!!!!. Now I'm really jealous. I bought a rooted cutting of Nebels rainbow 3 yrs ago for £30 and still no flowers. My plumerias are stuffed into the greenhouses you can just see behind the ivy hedge at the top. Hope my rainbow looks as good as the ones in Karen and your photos when (if) it decides to perform.

oh my goodness look at your garden, I don't think I have seen one so beautiful. I can see lavender, tall in the back flowers, mediums and smaller in the front, daisies,..think marigolds all along one edge. You should be proud of them, imagine a lot of care. Yes see your green house...thanks for sharing, Maybe I can put up my tent and just set in for the summer and enjoy..ha I love flowers.

Your plumies look great. What are they? Nice and healthy, great pool there, nice setting. Kahala Rain, oh I like that title. What Kasie said, is probably nebels rainbow, or lei rainbow too. Wasn't sure, there is a few that look like this one. I haven't fed it, so when I do color may deepen or change.

The only reason I was tying to figure out what the red one is, mainly seconds gets hybrids when they sell. It can just be a generic red Orange..just so colorful, and thats fine. I was just curious, odd flowers, keep darkening and changing colors.

I am pleased to get the rainbow, only one right now I have..I had never seen nebels rainbow bloom wasn't sure what it looked like. Hope some day that Jeanne Morange jr will bloom, think thats a rainbow type. That is a new cutting, happy to see it bloom. Yes, my plumie garden, leaves are starting to grow now, its harder to get around in there,.thats neat.

thanks, appreciate the pictue. Your reds are more intense, I haven't fed this one yet. Is a new cutting started in March I think.. When I feed might intense.

Hey Karen,
It looks like you and I got the same Mainly Seconds variety. Honestly, I have never seen a flower change so dramatically! Mine went from a pastel rainbow to a deep red just like yours. It just keeps pumping out flowers and has at least 50 more buds. On top of that, it is developing two seed pods!!!! I don't even know how a 13-14 inch plumeria can even support that. It should be interesting.

glad you got this one too, was hoping was a named variety. If not just a joy to watch it change. Mine is about the same height, 3 branches, putting out flowers like you said, cannot believe, every couple days! What ever it is, name wise.. YOU have seed pods!!! wow.. plant on steriods. ha great. will watch mine for those. wonder what it is pushed with to make it produce like this. went back to mainly seconds again, no more..could sell out and miss.

Hazel your garden is stunning! It reminds me of a relativeÂs garden in Suffolk. She put me up in an upstairs bedroom overlooking her private bit of paradise. Like Karen B I would have been just as happy to be in a tent on the lawn area.

Hello Philip, I can't take any credit. It took my husband 7 years to clear and design over 40 years ago when we were first married and bought the house from new. You can imagine what it looked like as we named the house Brambles!I remember he moved over 40 tons of soil into big skips all those years ago. Grass is always greener on the other side I would still like to grow my plumerias outside all year, I love looking at the pictures of them on the forum. Since partly removing the shading over the plumerias in the greenhouse the sun has been very hot here and I've got a few burnt leaves but if that's what it takes to get them into flower it will be worth it.

It looks like a professionally designed garden, Hazel. Maybe he can design a glass case where you can drop your plumies into the ground during the summer but they would have a thermostat heater to offset any sudden temp drops. You could open up the panels on warm days or close down for protection. Just an idea to help with your dream. Anyway you look at it you have a dream garden as it is. Bill
