The only problems I noticed is that my tomatoes and peppers are a little leggy (not sure why?) and they both have dark purple stems. I researched and seen the purple stems/leaves are okay on tomatoes but does anyone know about peppers? Not nearly enough time under the lights - many use 24 hours but 16-18 is minimum recommendation - and the purple stems are common just as with tomatoes and is cool temps and phos uptake related. Disappears when planted to the garden. Your tomatoes should have been planted much deeper for best results and they are awfully small for such a big container so they can turn leggy too. Standard progression is from seedling tray to deep in a cell pack and then to the large containers. Some skip that interim cell pack stage by transplant them deep to a cup only half filled then add more soil as they grow. Check out the How to Grow Tomatoes from seed FAQ here for pics. Dave

I've been so busy, I missed this!!! That is gorgeous!!! This is the only thing I've ever turned around so fast. Ask my dh, and he can tell you about all the furniture that is in the garage waiting for new life! I primed a piece of my Bali Hai furniture yesterday with hopes of getting to take the new sprayer out for a test run, but nope. Didn't get to it. Ugh. The paint sprayer is from Harbor Freight, my dh did a lot of research before buying it for me. I just wanted the Wagner Flexio that is new on the market, and getting great reviews. Now I have this compressor with wheels and a sprayer....much more complicated than I envisioned. But, hopefully when I use it, I will love it! (PS, my chairs are now in my office where they don't feel "odd" to me, they are out of the dining room)

I just picked up the stripped-down chairs from the upholsterer. They look so naked. Now I have to choose a gray paint that works with the fabric. I have a quart of fairly dark gray in the basement that I may try. I'll solicit opinions when I get some painted on the chairs. gingerjenny, my trim color is the same BM soft chamois that I used in the rest of the house. I have enough trouble picking wall colors without switching trim colors too! : ) chitown, that map is great...huge! I may need to go see it in person. I haven't mentioned the map idea to DH yet. My goal was to pull this room together with stuff we already have and I've already bought new bookcases and am getting chairs re-done. I don't know if the map idea will make him cranky. I guess I should at least TRY to use art that we already own. Or not. We'll see. runninginplace, the bookshelves are Hemnes. I look at both these and the Billys. Billys are less expensive, but I liked that these were wood and looked a little more sturdy and finished. Plus they have leg levelers which come in handy on our old crooked floors. I got an email today that my curtain rods have shipped!! It's all pulling together. Yay!
