Wow, those are beautiful! Thanks for posting those, Lonnie! The width of the leaves is impressive, too. They look like they'll grow in a tidy shape. Are they Maya?

Who posted photos of their black leaves? Could you please repost?

Thanks Islandbreeze! Plumerias are one of my favorite tropicals, I definitely recommend them. And I think I am confusing the oleander in this pic with my pink one which is a Calypso. Thanks for catching that! My home depot carries crape myrtles a lot lately so you can check yours and maybe you'll get lucky. They are great trees, I'm sure the hardier varieties would do well by you in a good spot. Crapes are really commonly sold here now, they are one of the few trees that can be grown as street trees in NYC (since you need to get your street trees approved before you plant them here) which I think is pretty cool since they are so synonymous with the south. and this is another grafted plumie that is variegated and bought from same seller on eBay in same order this plant also confirms to eBay listing waiting eagerly for both of them to bloom.Hope they bloom early being grafted ones any suggestions please

I got mine from Buried Treasures last year, sign up for their email, I got them 40% off through email. One is doing great and doubled in size. The other is much more variegated but the snails love it, they have eaten the leaves off several times, I thought it was toast but it survived. I put them in an area that gets full sun on & off throughout the day but none in the middle of the day and they are doing great. We have a cold front coming through now but not cold enough to bother them. They are in pots, after last years freeze I'm not taking any chances. Plummies that were 30-40 years old died and haven't come back. I still think it was the combo of hurricane then freeze. Tally HO!

Gorgeous! I love the variegated plumerias! Lonnie- did you see the Rose Syrup Brad offered at the beginning of the season? A stunner!

Jen- I think I know the leaves you are talking about because I can't stop thinking about them. I think it was Rox it was one of her seedlings :)

Jen,

They were sold as seedlings of Maya, but each are grafted. They came from Thailland via Cheif Mike who ran a coop on All Things Plants.
He was also on FB, but isn't selling any longer.
