I beleive that leaves curling up is too much ferts.

get rainwater if possible and warm it up. it will dissolve the salts better if slightly warm. and run all you can through the soil and out the bottom as soon as possible. you have to get rid of the ferts.

you should not have these problems with organic ferts. I use fish ferts indoors on the small plants.

It probably is the fertilizer, I will flush the pot with rainwater as suggested. Doesn't look like what is shown in the pic, but thanks for the help.

That may not be the case, as byron pointed out in that link, leaf roll can be caused by excessive water as much as excessive fertilizer. I would not add more water at the risk of making the problem worse. If you haven't added any other fertilizer than the initial bit when planting, I would be willing to bet that it not your problem. Excessive fertilizer will tend to show with other signs.

It is most likely a lack of nitrogen. my peppers had curling leaves, I gave them some fert with nitrogen in it and they perked right up

Honestly, it is probably a combination of both, over watering, and over fertilizing. I am a very impatient gardener to say the least, I put them in the pot with the 10-10-10 and watered them more than once with some of that good ol' blue water miracle grow. Leaving it alone for a while, it will probably thank me for that. Interesting enough, I interplanted a thyme plant with that pepper and it is doing fine, (I know that isn't a classic combo but only had the one pot at the time and love both), thanks for the help, and pray for the rest of my plants.

Yeah, that sounds like WAY too much fertilizer, especially in a pot.

I have to constantly fight with myself to not over care for my plants. This is a common trap that many new and even experienced gardeners fall into. We want out plants to grow to the best of their ability in the best of possible conditions, so we fertilize when growth slows or we see vegitation dieing, we spray with insecticides (man made or not) at the slightest sign of a pest and we jump on all the odd solutions to any problem with the fruit (BER etc). Many times, these "solutions" can cause a lot more problems than the good. Fertilizer can cause a reduction in harvest, or even kill the plant, and insecticides can kill beneficials. In a lot of cases, the problem is not a problem at all. Sometimes leaves yellow or wilt and plants drop blossoms. Sometimes a few of a pest is okay (they can actually draw beneficial predatory insects to your garden that will keep down other pests).

As a technical and fairly controlling person, I find it VERY difficult to just sit back and let the garden grow, but it is something that needs to be done. It almost always works out for the better. "Mother Nature" (for lack of a better term) will take care of the plants, they will adapt and be that much stronger for it.

Of course, there are cases that fertilizer, insecticide, etc may be needed but only sparingly.

I have also had the leaf role problem in my pepper garden accompanied by chlorosis in my bottom leaves. I first thought that it might be TMV, but discarded that theory because the pictures that I found did not look right at all and the leaves were rolling up and not down. I water a couple times a week and fertilize with fish fert. every other week, and now don't know which thing to modify. I think I'll start with less frequent waterings. Thanks for the info.

I have a container garden and had this "wilt" issue, its not from over watering and not from fertilizer, its caused by too much sunlight in my case so i find myself moving my plants into a shade area for a few hours and BAM!!! within a few min they are un wilted and un damaged. maybe this is just my issue and some of yours are different but if you have a garden that is clearly in ground and not container ive also used screen like in a screen door to cut out a bit of sunlight over my plants works great and they still get sunlight.
