These rooted cuttings are currently on the way, and I'm thrilled. Kimo - 2 tips, Pink Pansy - 2 tips, Sunset Jewel - 3 tips, Penang Peach - 3 tips, Duke - 2 tips, Panama Gold - 2 tips.

I really wanted the Panama Gold because I was raised in Panama. The Sunset Jewel was pretty but I can't find any info on her. Anyone have the details?

Hi Laura, and thanks. How are you doing? Have you heard how Bill did with his surgery? Hopefully he is resting well!

About the confession... I really have nothing to confess because my husband told me to go ahead, so I went ahead! LOL And I might just "go ahead" next week, too! :)

I'm off to bed. The heat today wiped me out!

Can't help you on the year.....I tried entering your posted number on the JD search site and came up with this message: "Not able to retrieve the engine serial number information from the database. Either the serial number is invalid or does not exist." Perhaps you can check it? You might get better results using the engine number. You'll need to register to perform a search. Nancy, I tore my meniscus some 7 years ago and it was a while before I got to see the knee specialist. I believed I was mismanaged by my regular doctor then or rather his staff at the time. While they did immediately sent my file to the knee surgeon, either they didn't do much follow up or the doctor didn't emphasize enough the state of my knee. It took a rehab doctor to tell me I needed an operation and so with that information I went right back to my doctor and demanded they follow up with the knee surgeon. At that point they gave me the phone no to that clinic and when I made the phone and explained my state, I was seen immediately and they wanted to operate the following weekend. Talk about mismanagement and the further damages it caused my knee. 50 percent of my meniscus is gone. I cannot do any sports anymore as a result.

I've seen your bargains, but if you want to zip down here, we can go out bargain hunting together and really do some damage! Jane: you have the turquoise? I saw a few of those recently; they're lovely! I have 4 (or 6?) of the same pattern in the cream and really like them. It's scary when you have so many dishes you can't remember things like that! You should have seen DD yesterday when she saw the 3 new groups of dishes (ROFLMAO). There was a lot of eye rolling! Jeanne: yes, you are a very bad/good enabler! Lyban, I'm sorry!! I absolutely love the floors, though I'm already wishing we'd sealed them (I think this will pass as I add furniture, rugs, etc). Unfortunately none of the pictures are very good so far, but here are some anyway. So, approaching hte basement, before you'd have seen really nasty old linoleum with dirt ground in and shiny dirty-looking paint Now you see fresh flat white paint and new charcoal carpet. The new basement floor is visible, but pretend you don't see that yet! Walking into the basement, before there were dirty dark shiny paneled walls (I don't even have any pictures of those), a moldy old dropped ceiling, flourescent lights above gross old panels, and dark brown vinyl tiles that were releasing from years of neglect. This represents a halfway picture, with older paint, the dropped ceiling removed, and new lighting. Then we painted the ceiling flat black (the subject of this thread, of course!), painted the walls bright flat white, and replaced the flooring with diamond-set white and grey vinyl tiles (the commercial stuff by Armstrong). The pictures of the new floor aren't very good...we don't have any of the new furniture we're planning to get and frankly I'm not even sure what I want. So I am definitely open to decorating ideas...I'm thinking charcoal couch, huge area rug (perhaps an accent color?), and a loveseat or additional chairs. Even now, as I sit here, we've placed some of the furniture--TV, our one chair, and the exercise stuff, but I dare not take pictures because DH finally has his TV back after almost 1.5 months! Laundry room main living area, with furniture all pushed to the middle (this was right after installation) To sum up, this is what's happened over the last 6-7 weeks: 1. ripped out old/moldy/disintegrating/incompletely installed dropped ceiling 2. installed can lights (removed old, in some cases nonfunctional, flourescent tubes) 3. painted the unfinished ceiling black (huge ordeal, involved moving almost everything upstairs and then taping off all walls and remaining items with thick plastic sheeting before renting a gigantic power paint sprayer...) 4. demolished huge, old, smelly, dusty-----but surprisingly (and unfortunately for me, the demolisher) well-built!----plywood/particleboard/pegboard/wood closets 5. ripped up nasty old floor tiles that were coming up and breaking into small pieces all over the place (thank you victoria---horrible job); we then lived with nasty black mastic for almost two weeks, until #8 happened this week. 6. Had an asbestos-wrapped copper water pipe professionally removed 7. painted old dark shiny paneled walls flat white, including the stairwell walls and ceiling. 8. installed new VCT tile and base molding, and carpeted the stairs with charcoal-colored carpet

OMG Mona! You got some beauties there! I am still searching... so many to get not enough money! LOL Although DH is not holding me back... simple logic said I should wait until AFTER our move to buy more. But sitting on my hands and watch you guys shop is killing me.

No-Clue - I know about not having enough shopping money. It's probably a good thing though, otherwise our yards would look like Laura's. Oh wait... that's not such a bad thing! LOL

But, you want us to feel sorry for you because we're shopping and you're not? When YOU live so close to JJ's. When YOU keep buying 5 and 7gallon trees. When you are in the process of building a brand new home to flank with lots of plumies. Sorry, no pity here! LOL J/K :)

Hey Mona,

I glad you have a good hubby that understands the value of a good Plumeria tree! It does make it easy when you have you partner or DH understand the love that we have..

I will say that i know you were just kidding about all of my trees that i have. I have aquired them from amany friends one to three cuttings at a time unti i could buy from the nurseries. This didnt happen overnight, but the way i see it... i work very hard and i deserve to have a hobby that i love just as my DH does. He realy is s good sport about my trees and i do joke about him with the "eye rolling" , but he knows that i could be into something more collectable and not spend the time with him at home.

When i am working and my days can be 14 hr day, and a four day trip the onlt thing i can think of is to come home and see my trees. This gives me such a great satisfaction from the real world... So , when you say that i may have many, they have all come form many friends and i would not change them or give them away for anything.. This took quite a few years to aquire these trees as you can see how large they are... One day you will understand!!! : )

Oh, Laura, I DO understand perfectly! I had a very large banana collection and many collected from friends, but lost most of them a few years ago, also losing my 2 solo plumeria at the same time. No heat in the greenhouse, and we were out of town. At that time I did not realize how long the heat had been out so really didn't expect what was to come in the following weeks. It was terrible but I got over it. LOL!! I still have about a half dozen varieties and continue to enjoy what I have left.

And just to mention, come along about late fall, my DH experiences some of that "eye allergy". I no longer heat my GH so he has to load everything in the truck and make trips back and forth to work where I overwinter in the GH there. It was only 2 weeks ago that I got the very last of my stuff home. I have a rather large Orinoco that I believe is about to bloom but he is so big and hung out the back of the truck. Now he has what my DH calls "the Island look". The leaves are shredded like he stood tall during a hurricane! :)
