Hi~

I have noticed some strange barnacle looking stuff on a backyard bottlebrush tree and on a stattice plant in my front yard. I guess pictures would probably be in order (I'll try and get some tomorrow), but any guesses what I'm looking at?

The "barnacles" look the same on both plants. Right now, my biggest concern is will they spread, what kind of damage do they do. The bottlebrush tree is near a couple of orange trees and my raised vegetable beds. The stattice isn't near anything important.

I should mention both plants are slated for removal. I'm hoping to have the tree removed in February and the stattice sooner than that.

Just wondering if there is some reason I should be moving quicker. (Or treating the plants, etc.)
