Karyn that looks beautiful. My Dazzler hasn't bloomed yet, I am look at it multiple times a day. Mine is recently rooted also, think we might have got them about the same time. Really looking forward to it blooming and smelling the beautiful scent. Congrats!!!

I too got a Dazzler last fall. I lost the first inflo due to lack of water (I think) but the 2nd inflo is doing good so far. Probably lose it to too much water now, with the weather we have been having...lol
Glad to see yours....so pretty!

Mine also looks like that and also smells great--but Kona Cranberry was the real shocker--long-lasting dark pink blossoms that fade to white and a very nice scent. Other favorites blooming now include Jeannie Moragne, Kimo, and Kauka Wilder.

Karyn, nice to see you here again! Really felt for your big loss in the freeze, devastating. Hope your remaining plumies pull through and you 'get back to where you were before' with them. No doubt will take a while, but this is a good start, looks lovely, can almost smell it from here!

Hi Gill. I've been around GW just not much on the plumie forum for the simple fact that with the freeze there's not much going on with my plants. lol Someone was generous and sent me a whole bunch of cuttings which I'm rooting right now. I'm happy to say that they are looking good. I do have a number of plants left but the majority had damage to the tips so no blooms this season.

I took your advice and pinched my adenium seedling back and it's caudex is fattening up considerably. I can't tell if it's branching but it looks way better then it did before I pinched it. I also seemed to have overcome the bud drop problems I had with the adeniums last year and have a couple plants in bloom now.

That's pretty Lauri. I was expecting a much bigger flower. I wonder if it will be bigger next season? My flowers are getting much darker and now the petals are really curling up. I have no idea why they are curling so much. I figure the color is darker from being moved into more direct sunlight and it's also hotter. I was surprised to find an inflo on my Nebels Rainbow. That poor plant had been reduced to a single branch

Ya know, even though they are so very small, they're still mighty pretty.

Lauri- you have a rooting bloom where the branch was starting an inflo when it was cut and continued to grow while rooting. Most growers cut the inflo off so the plant can fully root without splitting the energy between flowers and roots. However, it is hard for the collector to cut off the inflo because of the need to see the flower. If your leaves are opening ok then add some superthrive or B-1 to your regular watering to encourage better root formation. Your second year flowers should be much larger as the rooting blooms are often stunted due to the limited resources. Sometimes your next round of flowers this season will be larger too. Bill

Thanks Bill. I knew I should take off that inflo, but like you said, couldn't get myself to do it. The leaves are looking wonderful and opening. I will water with either superthrive or B-1. I have both, should I use both? Thanks so much for your input.

Bill speaking of cuttings with inflos the Guillot's Sunset has an inflo developing. The leaves are coming along nicely so I'm going to leave it as long as the foliage keeps growing well. For those of us that don't have loads of blooms it's hard to sacrifice an inflo unless absolutely necessary.
