Off Subject-- Proud of my Daughter!

Hi

Hope you don't mind am very proud of my daughter. Lisa has gone back to school.. Few years ago she received her AA degree and Graduated in her Cap and Gown, with my Grandchildred near..

She has continuted her studies.. This coming weekend She graduate once again and will receive her Batcher of Science Degree. Will walk down the isle once again in her Cap and Gown.. Lisa is 45 years old, with my grandkids again, watching with pride. A special young woman, my husband and I are very proud of her accomplishments.

Karen, that is so wonderful! Congratulations to both you and your daughter. Usually special daughters have very special mom's right behind them. :o)

Loved reading this! Only had a son, but raising him was tough enough, esp. from age 19 - 23. The Navy was the answer to my prayers and he is now a wonderful father to 3 kids. A friend said the other day that she would rather raise a football team of boys rather than one girl! I have a granddaughter, so look forward to watching from the sidelines how that develops. Thank you to everyone for the kind words. I think she is pretty special (I know I am biased) It was funny the other day she and the male lead were interviewed on the news, I thought she was going to lean over and tell the news anchor that she wanted his job (he was asking about their future plans) Kylie, they rehearsed for about 2 months before the show began. The kids also build their own sets, wished I could say they were really good at costuming, but they are getting there. I have heard that one of my daughters many talents is climbing scaffolding in high heels. I am so glad I have never seen that! Mary......one more show to go!

My thoughts are with those in the immediate path of Ike and the others that may also be affected by this hurricane. What few people realize is that Hurricanes often spawn tornados around their periphery, making them a double whammy if/when they hit shore. Even our weather in Oklahoma may be adversly affected by Ike. Hanna gave us some sprinkles but with Ike's projected path, flooding is now a distinct possiblilty over this week-end. Arkansas and the mainland Texas are also in danger. Prayers to all of us in Ike's path. Plants are replaceable, people (and their beloved companions) are not.

Hi Karen, thats great news for your family, congrats!!! Our 3 have all won their caps and gowns with great degree successes, so I can understand how proud you must feel too! Hope you all enjoy her day!

Hi Karen,
Congratulations to both of you! My son is working on his AA degree. He has one more semester, then he will be be "doing the walk". After that, he will be going to U of F for Pharmacutical.

That is so wonderful Karen. Going back and finishing while raising kids is a massive accomplishment. You have every right to be bursting with pride. Congratulations to your daughter who joins the elite group of finishers. She will always be better off because of it. Congratulations!!!!! Bill
