Welcome Mark! I love Louisville. Although I live and work in Nashville,I had a friend who lived there. I was just thinking about the last time I was there. It was cold, rainy and we stayed wet all day long. And it was the best time. We dodged the cold by ducking into restaurants and having coffee and/or desserts. The day ended with, you guessed it!, the Thunder fireworks. So how many derby pins do you have? We also liked to head over the border there. Huber winery and The Falls of the Ohio. Great place Kentucky. I know why the call it the blue grass state, but golly, it's just so lush and green there.

Thank you CoyoteMoss! I rescued this one from WM last year. Very sad shape but the lone sickly flower bud looked like it might have been red, and the caudex is kind of different so I saved it. Not "red" blooms but not the average common pink either. Not that there is anything wrong with the pink. My oldest and favorite adenium is the pink and it's beautiful too :)

Yes I would do that too. Old prank from way back when! Your story reminded me of a funny although annoying thing that happened here a couple of weeks ago. One Saturday evening I had just gone to bed, it was about 11:30. I got a text message on my phone. Got up to check it in case it was an emergency with one of my tenants. All it said was "Hi, it's Jonas". I could see by the number it was my tenant, Jonas, but didn't think it was important so I went back to bed. He texted me 4 times through the night! 'Course everytime I get a text my phone beeps to alert me, and as I am a caretaker I am tuned to wake up if my phone beeps in the night. Anyway, the short of the long - I saw him a couple of days after and asked him why he was texting me all night. He was so embarrassed as he had mixed up my number with the number of a girl he is chasing....thankfully he didn't say anything graphic on his texts. We both had a pretty good laugh about it afterwards. Suzan J
