Folks, it's been a strange last four months - went from winter to pretty much early summer in two days. Zech, that's the thing - it's not large at all, certainly perhaps approaching a 100th the size Caudex Keith's is Stan, Sunny, yes, but I've kept this plant potted in the same pot, with soil refreshed each year, for three years - buried in that pot are rocks of mighty density and yammish size. I'll have to get a...what's that you're asking for, a picture? OK, will do.

Hi Pam, Thank you for your comment on me needing help in southern IL. I only made it here with all my daylilies, my sheffield mum, and 1 of my true geraniums. botanicat, I was trying to find out about a trade or plant sale. I am here in no mans land, and need some plant starts. I have one last appt with my neurosurgeon in Atlanta, and I would be happy to come to anyone's yard and help "thin" a few things. There are quite few plant that I got from swaps that I loved so mucch and was not able to bring even a piece of. I potted up al my daylilies las summer, but moved in the freezing middle of winter. I have been checking to see what will grow here, and am so sad I could not bring starts of my favorite shrubs, etc. i will try to find a sale and make my appt around that time and let anyone know when. thanks. I have been mostly down from foot / ankle surgery in September, so every moment I get to move or do anything has been spent on the house. Now, I am finally getting to relax a little.. before the NEXT phase ;) I could. The house stays dirty. I was waiting till after the next stage, which should be about a month or two. We are adding the barn, fence, and deck. Once the deck goes in, a lot of the dirt should stop. It took a lot to get here and we did some stuff ourselves vs fighting with the person that made mistakes. Fortunately, the folks that built the house really did take care of us and were "johnny on the spot" to make sure we were taken care of and happy. We made allowances on a few things, it helped us to get the next phase early. My mentality was, "I do not care if you fix it...but you have to change our thinking whenever we see it".. so, now.. or when the deck goes in, we will see it and go, "yea.. but look what we got for that..." Funny thing was, the mess up was really not a huge deal and was in our favor, really. The took 6" off the house. We kept trying to prove it to them, but it did not become obvious where it went till they got the last stages and found our "standard" stairs we actually custom, because they were framed up 6" too wide.. lol Here is a picture of them: Let me see what pictures I have. The house is still not "put together yet..we have wall speakers to install, etc.. but I am walking now (had surgery in September) so it is going faster AND we had a major amount of help from her parents.. great people. I'll do a reveal in an hour or so, when the cheesecake gets turned off. Can't show ya that till tomorrow ;) R
