Grape disease

Can anyone tell me what is killing my grape vine. The leaves began to develop brown spots, then the leaves die. There are also a few black blotches on the stems. The newer growth looks green and healthy.

Any help will be appreciated.

Probably the best way to find out what the problem is is to take samples, sealed in plastic bags, to your state universities Cooperative Extension Service office.

Inadequate resolution on the foto. Second the Cooperative Extension suggestion. Posting larger fotos here may help, use a hosting service like Photobucket.
