We just got back from Colorado but didn't end up hiking Black Mesa on the way like I said we would because I have a stress fracture in my foot. We did, however, drive through Guymon both ways. We ate lunch there going and coming. I was hoping to find a good Mexican place since there is such a hispanic flavor to the town, but the only one we could find was a little place next to Braums and it was really bad (the kids liked it though). On the way back I gave in to the kids and just stopped at Braums. Is there a good place in Guymon that I need to try next year if we go? It is the half-way point.

I think Guymon to Woodward is the worst part of the drive, although it was pretty green except around Woodward. On the way back the temp was 71 in Boise City, then about 80 in Guymon (showers NW of town), and then 102 in Fort Supply. Ouch! The wind was always blowing out there but would switch directions depending where the storms were. It must be brutal living out there.
