I received the results of my soil test and...

I'm really confused.

All they wrote in was:

pH 6.6

78 lbs/acre Nitrogen

263 lbs/acre Phosphorus

631 lbs/acre Potassium

All of that is "high"...and they recommend that I apply only Nitrogen fertilizer to my Bermuda lawn next year. That's it.

Nothing about soil composition or "tilth".

I had wanted to see what my crazy clay soil needed, but they're telling me everything is high?

It's obvious to me that I need to continue adding composted materials to build up the soil, but I really was expecting more for my $10 - was I wrong?

I'd originally wanted to find out what to do for newly-planted crape myrtles and about-to-be-planted spirea. I took samples from all over my yard; not just an isolated area.

Any thoughts?
