The Lemon seedlings are doing wonderful! They're growing very fast. They did fine after I uncovered them. I think this was partially thanks to the fact that I mist all of my plants 4-5 times a day. I fear they'd burn without it, but they love the sun. About a week ago, I did have to give the wandering jew a haircut. You can't even tell now. I started another pot. I couldn't stand to throw away all of those stems. The bigger spider also has a few new shoots. All of the plants are sending off runners. Too many to deal with! Linda, along with the daily misting, I add a tiny bit of water to the soil. Although it's quick draining soil, I never let it dry. With the heat in the 100's, I have to water every day, so I don't know what it's like in your zone. Thanks for all of the kind words!

I had it probably 5/6 years when the pic was taken. Yes it is vaginatum and is much showier than the medusae. The blooms are smaller but the whole plant is smaller than the much bigger pbulbs of the medusae. There is also an orange medusae type that I can't remember the name of but it is the same size and growth habit of the vaginatum. I "think" they changed the name of the Dial/whatever but I don't remember what it is now. You should check out Fred's Ctsm family of 'chids. You have the perfect environment for this family. They want to be sopping wet, heavy fertilizer during their grow season and go dormant in the winter. Put them on a shelf in the garage until they break dormancy. I just got 12 of his seedlings. The older I get, the more I love cutting down on my work. I grow all of these sitting in saucers of water. If he is coming down in October, they will probably be starting to go dormant. Or blooming, his FDK After Dark blooms very late in the year for me. Brooke

I really have no idea what they'd try to charge you for these upgrades. But do let us know if you can. Heat pump cost more to the dealer due to added controls/components. As would the 2 stage variable speed furnaces. I'm going to throw out what I would expect the upgrade costs to be (to be reasonable), but I do imagine that they will throw in their typical upcharges so they can gouge you. I'm not a pro, but based on everything I've seen and heard, I think my estimates are within range. Heat pumps: $600 each -> $1200 Furnaces: probably same as above --> $1200 Air Filters: $300 each -> $600 Thermostats: These are pricey models. $300 each -> $600 Overall, they're probably going to try to push another $4000 out of you the buyer. Let us know what they say. While you may not have much room for negotiation at all in your case, it's good to go in there with a bit of knowledge.

It would really help if you could post some pictures. Without pictures, your color names are just words, and unless we really know all of those colors from memory, what kind of helpful comments could we have? If you have specific concerns: "Is this 'Canvas Sail' too boring?" "Is 'Bubblicious' too nauseatingly pink?" That could also help.
