Green Chiles (Thai?) for Indian Food

I may be reaching a limited audience on this question, but I am curious if anyone on the forum has grown what are referred to as Green Chiles in Indian cooking. The local Indian grocery lists them as Thai Chiles, which I have seen referenced before.

I believe they are the Prik Kee Nu variety from further reading, but if anyone can confirm this it would be most appreciated. A few of the small peppers adds quite a bit of heat to the dish (if they are good ones, anyway!)

I'm curious if anyone has seeds for these peppers or if it is possible to grow them from the seeds out of the store bought peppers. The seeds I planted have not germinated yet (but many other peppers have). One website actually suggested doing this when you find good (hot) peppers as you know the resulting plant will also give you sufficiently hot peppers as well.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!
