Bt isn't listed for aphids. Bt has to be eaten to work and aphids don't "eat" they only suck moisture from plants. So not sure why you would expect it to work on them. But there are numerous pesticides available for aphids - both organic and synthetic chemical. Safer makes a good organic one. You can also use one of the homemade spray recipes IF you use it carefully as it can harm plants if over-applied or applied in the direct sun. However most sprays will kill just as may good guys as bad ones so make sure you have a real problem before spraying anything. 1 T liquid dish soap in 1 gallon of water, shake well, pour into spray bottle, mist the bugs lightly. Do NOT drench the plant leaves, aim for the aphids. Plants are quite tolerant of some aphids so there is no need to get aggressive unless it is a really major infestation. And the larvae there isn't hurting anything. He's helping so leave him alone. And you don't need a hose to blast them off with plain water - just a spray bottle. Dave

The thrips are the only thing I would worry about. The aphids can just be washed off with water or you can use neem oil - diluted and aim for the bugs not drenchign the plant. The crickets aren't usually a problem IMO but DE will kill them if you feel you must. Personally I have never seen them do any plant damage in my gardens and we have tons of them. They are omnivorous but mostly eat decaying organic matter and other bugs. Let them eat the aphids. The leafminers too aren't usually a problem. The damage they do is more appearance oriented and does little harm to the plant. They are almost impossible to kill because they are inside the leaf layers and only systemic pesticides can affect them - those you don't use on food plants. Neem will repel the moths that lay the eggs but once the eggs hatch you are stuck with the larvae in the leaf. Pick off the leaf and destroy it. Well, I set off to replace my belts in this way. Undoing the engine bolt worked eventually, though I had to heat it up with a gas gun then hit the end with an impact wrench. Unfortunately that's where things fouled up. The pulleys were seized on. I tried a seriously strong puller, which only bent the pulleys out of shape. So - lateral thinking........ The things that are stopping the belts coming off are the keeps - two rods down the sides of the pulleys. It turns out that they are only held on by half-inch gripper nuts at the top, and are easily removed. Now the belts are free to drop off the pulleys. Further round the system there's a silver coloured link thing. Undo the bolt at the link end, then undo the nut holding the pulley. Shift the pulley out along its shaft so that the belt can clear the keep. There's a big spring in the way, but you can manoeuvre the the belt round it. That gets both front belts off and back on. I haven't tried to get the short belt at the back off, because it looks like you have to take the rear axle off. Bernie
