Wrap Your Pepps in Bubble Wrap !

I know there is something called W.O'.W. I have seen pictures of it and don't know how much it cost. The idea is that the sun warms up the water and the warm water keeps you tomato warm at night. There are questions about that claim in my mind: What if it was not sunny ? How long can that bag give off heat ? How much of that heat is lost from outside or upward by convection and how much of it actually keeps the plant warm, over 12 hours or so?

The other question is: IS THE HEAT that protects the plant or the INSULATION ?
I tend to think that it is the insulation. If you inverts a 5 gal. bucket over that plant, probably will be just as effective.
But I think most of its benefits comes during the day, by the GREENHOUSE effect. For this purpose you won't need water, air can be just as effective: OK, we are getting closer.

Why not wrap that plant in/with BUBBLE WRAP? bingo !
Get a cheap, smallest cage you can find (short of making your own): Use it as a cage (temporarily) and wrap it with bubble wrap. Hmmmm.
I think it is worth the experiment, until we patent the genuine WALL OF AIR.
