I have the same thing on my tomato plants. I think it is grey leaf spot the way it was coming on. The spots start on the under side of the leaves and "eat" their way through. I noticed it after a bunch of rain. I can tell you it is not burn spots as we have not been having too many sunny days. It has been very cloudy. The rain has stopped, but this is still spreading. I have been spraying with a fungicide twice a week for the past couple weeks and it is not stopping. I did some research and actually posted pictures earlier today and think it is grey leaf spot, which the fungicide I have does not cover. Go figure. hobocat, take a look at my pics on the post entitled "grey leaf spot" and see what you think. Does anyone know how to get rid of this or should I yank my plants and start over?

Very possible that the little black fellows are aphids. If so, they suck plant sap and will weaken the plant. Rub them off, or use direct hits of insecticidal soap, diluted according to label directions. In both cases, repeat as needed. I'm not able to see enough detail to suggest what the white might be.

We arrived at our Maui condo and fired our cleaner. One thing I haven't been able to clean are light orange flecks that I THINK may be mold. They are on the wooden shades over our sliders. (These hang from a rod like drapes and pull to meet in the center of the sliders.) They are white 'wood' (more likely plastic), interwoven with a hard yarn. (Skandia? is the manufacturer -- no help from contacting them.) These flecks are more dense at the bottom of the hanging shades -- appear to be 'growing' up. (It's mold, isn't it!) The whole bottom half of these shades is discolored -- not *black*, but ugly. The EXterior of these woven woods is perfect. This is only on the INterior side. My guess is that the outsides bake in the sun, while the insides get damp int he heat when the condo is vacant. I have been sick ever since we arrived with sinus congestion. I HAVE to fix this! I tried soap and water. I tried white vinegar, with *some* success. What would you use on it? Bleach water? (The shades are white and the floor is tile.)
